Seasonal CleanupFall Leaf Piles
Come fall we will begin picking up leaf piles within the Village limits. If you are unsure if you live within the limits you can always call us to verify. A quick way to know is if you have 4 numbers in your house number then you do NOT live in the Village. As a reminder we ask that these piles be LEAVES ONLY, no dirt, brush or sticks as these will damage the machine. Leaves must be in small piles at the side of the road. The machine only reaches so far so once the edge has been picked up, they will need to be re raked and moved closer if there are still more to be picked up. This is the property owner’s responsibility. Spring and Summer Leaf/brush pickup Once spring arrives and you are cleaning up from the long winter months, we will begin picking back up brush. As usual we will be picking up bagged leaves and bundled sticks and brush. Pick up will only be first and third Tuesdays each month. Please do not put out brush and bags unless it is the first or third Tuesday. Bags and brush may be put out the Monday evening prior to pick up days. Remember to keep them off the sidewalks and out of the roadway for safety reasons. Our DPW crew of two work hard to keep every inch of this village in tip top shape, following a schedule helps them help you! Snow Removal Please do not leave vehicles parked overnight on the roadways from November to March. Having vehicles left in the road parking spots can impede snow removal and the clearing and treating of the roads during winter months. |
